Let’s Talk About It
Scan
There are 250,000 problem gamblers in Minnesota. And each problem gambler affects 8 to 10 people. That means nearly two million Minnesotans are dealing with this problem. And yet, for such a huge number of people affected by problem gambling, no one was talking about it.
Spot
Minnesota Alliance on Problem Gambling (MNAPG) can only help problem gamblers and those affected by them if they speak up. We have to talk about the elephant in the room before we can get it to move out.
Rally
A statewide TV spot made the elephant in the room literal, showing a family living space in ruins with an actual elephant standing in the middle of it. The CTA invited those who suspected someone of having a gambling addiction to talk to someone at MNAPG. The spot launched during March Madness, a prime time for gambling and Problem Gambling Awareness Month.
